Gratitude-deserving cage

 

There goes the bird.

Sky is not its limit.

High, high it flies with no bounds.

 

One fateful day, the bird confronts a cage.

It was so terrified to be locked down.

Confined and lonely, feeling very lowly.

 

Days are all the same.

Legs shackled in a small room.

 

Little did it know the dangers out in the wild.

The forest was on fire and flocks of birds have died.

 

The cage was actually God’s grace.

Blessed to get food and water at its place.

 

The best possible thing at this stage,

For the ignorant bird is its cage.

 

God’s games are strange,

In a world which cannot manage,

And always looks for an exchange.

 

Days and months changed.

Suddenly, one day, the cage opened.

 

High, high, the bird flies with no bounds.

Sky is not its limit.

There goes the bird.
