The friction among women in family is more compared to men in family.

Clueless men and children are silent sufferers witnessing the war of power.

When we want to understand and change something,

We should examine our own biases, assumptions and consider alternative perspectives.

 

Overdependence on men and imaginary competition

 

Friction among women is related to overdependence on men.

Hostility between women is not inherent, but because of imaginary competition.

Competition among women for attention, recognition, validation and power.

 

Understanding the rights and responsibilities

 

When right comes, responsibility comes with it.

When women have right over education, responsibility of simple wedding is upon them.

When women have right over employment, responsibility of spending and saving upon them.

When women have marital rights, responsibility of marital duties upon them.

When women have equal rights like men, they have equal responsibilities like men.

 

Women cannot have both ways

 

Women need to choose the better for them.

Specialization in education or grand wedding,

Gold and grand dresses or individuality and passion,

Earning and saving or relaxing and content,

When women have the right to choose the better option for them,

They should be happy with the option and understand the grass is always greener on other side.

 

Embracing individuality and understanding power

 

When women follow their aspiration and passion,

Embrace their individuality and felt valued and heard,

Understand the importance of boundaries and territories,

When they understand their true power over their life,

They will come out of meaningless competition of power over others.

 

Men are allies

 

When a family supports women's autonomy and independence,

When it values women’s physical and mental health, gives breaks and space,

When men become proactive caretakers and learns the art of homemaking,

Family will be a happy haven for men and children.

 

Let us stop fantasizing women sinking in the whirlpool of family as sacrifice.

Let us help them realize their power over their life is in their hands.
